On Friday, June 28, 2019, long time President of the Local 153 Retirees Association and prolific union organizer, Charlie Ponti Sr., passed away. He turned 106 on June 1st of this year. Charlie was a key part of the original team that built the foundation of Local 153, one of the giants. Local 153 would not be what it is today without Charlie.
